FIELD: construction. SUBSTANCE: prior to assembling the pipes to be connected into pipeline, special device is inserted into one of pipes. Said device consists of bushing made in form of tape coiled into spiral, lining coiled into spiral and impregnated with polymeric binder to be pressed by tape to inner surface of pipe butt joint zone at designed force and to form protective beads over perimeters of bushing end face made by polymeric binder partially forced out from lining, and elastic envelope placed inside spiral tape. Second pipe is bushing over said device, and butt joint is assembled with provision of designed clearance between end faces of butt-joined pipes. Articulated mounting-and-stopping unit is placed in clearance. Fixing device is extracted, and tape, uncoiling, presses lining to inner surface of weld joint zone.
