FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of the pipelines construction and repair and can be used to increase the strength of pipes individual sections, pipe sections and pipelines of steel, cast iron and other materials, especially of the large diameter pipelines. Method consists in the expansion bushing placement in the reinforced zone and its fixing to the pipeline inner surface. Into the pipeline the expansion bushing is introduced, having the omega-shaped cross-section, in which groove an annular sling is inserted. Performing the expansion bushing pressing against the pipeline and the flanges welding to the pipe inner surface, thus ensuring the annular sling tension. On the expansion bushing the pipeline inner protective coating can also be fixed.

EFFECT: increase in the pipeline strength from the inside with improved performance characteristics, such as increase in the pipe load-bearing capacity, increase in the resistance to hydraulic load.
