FIELD: construction. SUBSTANCE: invention is used at construction and operation of pipelines and it serves for corrosion protection of inner surfaces of zones of pipe weld butt joints. Prior to assembling the pipes to be connected into pipeline, special device is inserted into one of pipes. Said device is essentially metal tape coiled into spiral and fixed and provided with spiral lining impregnated with polymeric binder placed over its outer surface. Second pipe is pushed over device and butt joint is assembled with provision of designed clearance between end faces of butt joined pipes. Metal tape fixing device is arranged in clearance. Fixing device is extracted and metal tape, uncoiling, presses lining to inner surface of zone o weld joint with overlapping of ends of pipe inner coating.
