FIELD: visual monitoring of heat conditions in various technological processes. SUBSTANCE: proposed heat indicator presents coordination compound of nickel chloride with dimethylformamide that has reversible thermochromic transfer of color at 90 C. It includes cheap and available organic ligand displaying favorable donor and steric characteristics. EFFECT: improved efficiency for visual monitoring of heat conditions.
