FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: belt has transverse and longitudinal reinforcing filaments. Transverse reinforcing filaments 16 are disposed in the vicinity of outer surface of belt 10 and longitudinal filaments 18 are disposed adjacent to inner surface of belt 10. Filaments 16 and 18 are laid inside cylinder for molding. During rotation of cylinder layer of elastomeric material is cast onto filaments 16,18. Transverse filaments 16 are initially laid inside cylinder so that they are in the vicinity of outer surface of belt 10. Then longitudinal filaments 18 are laid above transverse filaments 16.
