FIELD: road building; building of roadbeds and other bases of structures. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has elastically interconnected plates. Support rollers are installed on lower compacting plate, and vertical links with coaxially mounted members are hinge connected. Stops are installed for vertical adjustment on frame above these members. Vertical rod passing through hole in crossmember connected with frame is hinge connected to upper loading plate. Upper part of rod is connected with flexible connecting rod of crank-and-connecting rod drive consisting of drive shaft and overrunning clutch. Roller connected with hydraulic cylinder is hinge-coupled with frame. Curvature of lower compacting plate corresponds to earth deformation governing laws.
