SUBSTANCE: gear for timely control over compaction of asphalt concrete in process of its rolling makes it possible to automate process of control and has housing and restoring member. Housing is made in the form of threaded bushing screwed into roll of roller. Indenter is anchored on restoring member inside housing. Housing also carries limit switch to indicate finish of rolling process. Indenter is manufactured in the form of ball.
