FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: proposed sensor is designed to determine amplitude-time characteristics of flux of charged particle, for instance, electrons, without appreciable distortion. Sensor of density of current of charged particles has hollow toroidal case 1 with through annular groove 2 made in surface of toroid and facing its axis. At least one gauze screen 3 overlapping aperture of sensor and electrically connected to it along entire line of contact between sensor and screen is mounted in sensor in symmetry relative to its axis. Distance between annular groove and screen is chosen from relation h <Vtx/10, where V is speed of charged particles; tx is characteristic time of measurement of current. EFFECT: expanded conditions for use of sensor, increased accuracy of it and reduced labor input to measurements and determination of amplitude-time characteristics of flux of charged particles through aperture of sensor. 1 dwg
