APPARATUS FOR JOINING ROLLING ROLL WITH SPINDLE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: rolled stock production, namely joining of rolling roll of rolling stand with spindle mainly in continuous strip cold rolling mills where vibration negatively acts upon quality of rolled stock. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for joining rolling roll with spindle includes wobbler neck of roll supporting spindle coupling, blade arranged on wobbler of roll, movable wedges and two changeable segments for centering spindle in coupling. Lengthwise halves of spindle coupling are in the form of movable wedges monolithic with halves of segments for centering spindle and being in the form of two semicircles mounted with possibility of motion. Holder with spring block is mounted on coupling of spindle. Hydraulic cylinders for moving holder with spring are mounted on levers of spindle balancing device with possibility of applying efforts strictly along spindle axis independently upon its position. EFFECT: increased service life period of spindle, enhanced quality of rolled stock. 2 dwg
