FIELD: metal continuous casting. SUBSTANCE: method includes teeming of metal from tundish into mold. One pair of vertical faces executes reciprocating motions and the other pair of faces inclined in their upper part executes rotary motions. Inclined faces are provided with transducers connected to system of automatic control of thickness of crust of casting. Molding of casting is effected at level of metal pouring equalling 0.6-0.8 height of expanded part of inclined faces, and casting crust is suspended on faces. Melt is continuously squeezed through formed shell. EFFECT: increased production efficiency and reliability of casting process. 2 cl, 2 dwg
