FIELD: magnetic recording equipment for information transmission. SUBSTANCE: method involves generation of time intervals using self-synchronization sequence, and its storage to one track of magnetic carrier, making two-word block of digital multiple-bit code with one word inverted, adaptive generation of n+1 time intervals from sets of same bits of two words, where n is equal to number of bits word, and sum of lengths of n+1 time intervals is equal to two clock intervals. Different combinations of bits result in generation of time intervals which duration conforms to specific conditions. EFFECT: increased stability to noise upon accumulation and transmission in information. 3 dwg, 1 tbl
