FIELD: device for removing hardness of water. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has water drain in its upper portion for discharge of treated water and inlet branch pipe in its lower portion with discharge valve; apparatus is provided with cylinders having round section or section of another geometric form which are used as cathodes; anode located along axis of each cylinder is made in form of perforated tube. Outer surfaces of anodes may be coated with dielectric paint. Partitions made in form of cylinders or truncated cones widening in upward direction which are permeable for ions may be fitted between cathode and anode. Bends or baffles may be provided above holes of perforated anodes to direct gases liberated on anode inside tubes. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of removing hardness of water. 4 cl, 1 dwg
