FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention describes new substituted di-(formylaryl)-polyesters of the general formula (A) where Ar - substituted phenylene or naphthylene; Y - oxygen, halogen atom or methoxy-group; R - oxygen atom, NNH-R1-group; R1 - substituted phenyl, benzoyl, 2- or 4-nicotinoyl; n - a whole number from 1 to 3; m - a whole number from 1 to 4, or their coordination compounds with cations of mono-, di-, tri- or tetravalent metals or their salts, or their pharmaceutically acceptable additive salts of compounds (A) where R means -NNH-R1-group with organic and inorganic acids showing antimycobacterial activity. Compounds are antimycobacterial preparations showing high specificity to mycobacteria, high activity with respect to atypical, typical, resistant strains of mycobacteria and low toxicity. Claimed compounds can be used in practical medicine for treatment of patients infected with sensitive and resistant, typical and atypical strains of mycobacteria. Invention describes also an effective method of synthesis of the claimed compounds and a pharmaceutical composition on their basis. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis, enhanced effectiveness of compounds. 10 cl, 9 tbl, 15 ex
