FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: method can be used for maintaining water level in river at sharp reduction of water mass inflow into main river bed. According to method, regulation of water level in river implies changing of water mass flow rate by positioning vessels along river bed and fixing them in their positions with changing water mass flow rate by engaging engines of vessels in different direction of rotation of their screw propellers depending on required direction of changing water level in river. Application of aforesaid method allows for operative regulation of water level in river due to reducing or increasing flow rate of water mass in any place of river bed. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
