METHOD FOR REDUCING AFTEREFFECT OF FLOOD Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2141551 C1

FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: method consists in increasing flow rate of water mass by increasing its flow speed. For this purpose, located in river bed are vessels with operating engines. Vessels are fixed in their places of location in direction of water flow, and secured between vessels and between vessels and coastal line across river bed width are aprons located above screw propellers in zone of stern part of vessels at level of water medium surface upstream of river water flow. Aforesaid method for reducing aftereffect of flood by increasing flow rate of water mass favorably differs from known methods because it excludes labour-intensive earth work, and in addition it reduces power-input and requires less personnel for realization. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 3 dwg
