FIELD: mining machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: operating member can be used in coal winning cutter-loader machines. Operating member has body with cutter holders secured on it. Made in each cutter holder is longitudinal passage. Located in passage is carrier with cutter, device for fixing cutters in holders. Also provided is body front part having lateral passages for ejection of air, and sprayers. Each of them is located behind corresponding cutter and is directed towards its cutting edge. There are passages for supply of spraying liquid, and hollow inserts with each of them located inside corresponding lateral passage which is connected with tangential passage made in body front part. External surface of insert is of stepped configuration. Part of insert of large external diameter is rigidly installed in lateral passage, and part of insert of smaller external diameter is located at side of exhaust part of lateral passage and creates circular passage with its walls. Circular passage is connected with spraying liquid supply passage through tangential passage so as to ensure rotation of spraying liquid. Application of aforesaid embodiment of operating member allows for more effective ventilation, dust suppression and dust protection in crushing zone. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 9 dwg
