FIELD: bearing manufacturing. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used predominantly for test of finished products to determine manufacturing quality by analysis of measured characteristics. Characteristic feature of proposed process consists in positioning of part on to measuring device, in measurement of signals from transmitters from tested surface which are then amplified, detected and converted by means of fast Fourier transform, arranged in spectrum and compared with specification data entered into storage of computer. In this case tested surfaces are scanned, signal is formed with the use of excitation of eddy fluxes in surface layer of article, frequency bands with threshold values for each type of flaw are established. After filtration, conversion and arrangement in spectrum signal is compared many times with preset threshold values and state of tested parameters of articles is evaluated. Device for implementation of process of diagnostics of bearings has mechanical unit, unit ensuring scanning of tested surfaces, signal converter, amplifier, frequency filter, analog-to-digital converter, fast Fourier transform converter, frequency identifier and computer with threshold values of signals entered in storage. Converter is eddy current converter of laid on type, its output is coupled in sequence to parametric high-frequency generator, amplifier, detector, cathode follower and multiway analog-to-digital converter which outputs are connected in series with more than one unit comparing threshold values of signal. This unit incorporates band-pass filter, fast Fourier transform converter, amplitude selector, flaw register and computer display. EFFECT: improved quality of test of bearings. 3 cl, 1 dwg
