SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the machine building. Method for diagnosing technical condition of power equipment comprises stages, during which during operation of power equipment at its operational loads in real time using an acoustic-emission sensor mounted on the housing of each diagnosed energy equipment assembly, performing continuous measurement of values of acoustic emission signals, measured values of signals by means of communication channels are transmitted to at least one intermediate analytical unit installed on the power equipment frame, with the help of at least one intermediate analytical unit, receiving signals are processed and sent by means of communication channels to at least one central analytical unit, at least one central analytical unit is used to calculate resource of each diagnosed node and to inform on technical condition of each diagnosed unit of power equipment.

EFFECT: increased reliability and efficiency of diagnostics of state of bearing assemblies and gear transmissions of power equipment, adaptive forecasting of residual resource.
