FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves charging coke used as fuel into cupola from the top, blowing natural gas through tuyere, feeding metal burden and flux with following heating and melting; simultaneously blowing natural gas through lower part of furnace at cupola hearth; upon termination of natural gas blowing period, introducing into natural gas flow refining, modifying and fluxing components (dispersed production wastes) as metal burden and big-house dust or shot wastes of shotblasting equipment as iron-bearing components, or feeding scale from the top in an amount of 0.1-50% by weight of metal burden. Calcium carbide production wastes are introduced as fluxing component in an amount of 0.1-50% by weight of flux charged from the top. Dispersed ferro-silico-magnesium wastes are used as fluxing components. Dispersed wastes of CaF CaF2 are used as refining components. EFFECT: increased quality of cast iron and reduced production cost. 2 tbl
