FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: roof control method implies erection in worked-out space of longwall parallel to striking drift of pliable supporting rows consisting of rubble chocks or wooden log chocks with various degree of filling. Pliable supporting rows are built at distance from each other within interval of 0.8-1.3 of length of pitch of initial settling of main roof depending on position of cleavage fissures in rock matter of roof relative to work face line. Application of aforesaid method is aimed at raising efficiency of roof control due to prevention of repeated settling of roof. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 dwg
