FIELD: medicine, namely ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: keratoprosthesis has internal and external supporting members. Internal supporting member is made as bush provided with internal thread for screwing into external supporting member. External supporting member has central coaxial threaded hole to be screwed onto optical cylinder. Bush is made split and provided with lock ring. Fixing plates are manufactured as rectangular perforated tapes positioned crosswise and at right angles with each other. Their length is beyond cornea diameter. External supporting member consists of two interconnected plates. Front plate is solid, rigid, with external diameter corresponding to parameters of cornea being operated. Rear plate is porous, elastoplastic, with diameter exceeding front plate diameter. Internal curvature radius of external supporting member is selected in compliance with external curvature radius of cornea being operated. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 cl, 5 dwg
