FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Composite keratoprosthesis consists of an optical part made from a transparent elastic polymer saturated with ultraviolet adsorbent in form of a detachable bolt with a mushroom-shaped front end and a thread on the side surface, and a haptic part made in the form of a support disk with an outer diameter of 8–12 mm with thickness of 0.3–0.9 mm from a porous and/or perforated space volume fraction of not more than 50 % of the material. Optical part of the keraprosthesis is made from a transparent resilient polymer in the form of a detachable bolt with diameter of 5–6 mm. Haptic part is made in front of biological materials and their ambiguous layer-by-layer combinations, behind from artificial biocompatible materials. In front, the support disc is connected to a round biodyne cut out of freshly recovered or preserved sterile biological materials – dura mater, homochilths, homogeneity and their different-variant layer-by-layer combinations. Outer diameter of biodisc is larger than outer diameter of support disc by 0.3–1 mm.
EFFECT: using the invention enables reducing a risk of keratoprosthesis rejection.
