VERTEBRAL CORRECTOR Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2139026 C1

FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: patient's body supports are positioned on guides of device base coupled by fixed hinges. Supports of patient's body are coupled to guides by means of ball- and-socket hinges. Support for back and head with axillary rests is arranged on some guide, and other guides carry pelvis support embracing the body. As a result of movement in hinges between guides, supports of body move apart, thereby drawing out vertebral column by patient's force of gravity. Movements of supports of body in ball-and-socket hinges cause upper and lower ends of body to turn in all planes, thus turning and bending the vertebral column. Correction of vertebral column is performed by dosed drawing-out due to turns and bends in different planes with fixing at both ends, in regions of shoulder girdle and pelvis. EFFECT: improved design. 2 dwg
