FIELD: diffusion welding, applicable in production of ionizing radiation monitors. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in moulding of a translucent disk, annular metal cup, application of a grid electrode in the form of thin-filmed parallel or intersecting conducting tracks onto one of the plane end faces of the disk by the method of vacuum deposition, and sealed joining of the translucent disk to the cup by means of diffusion welding through a plastic metal wire interlayer, registering the centers of the circles, whose diameters are selected from the proposed relation; diffusion welding is accomplished through a plastic metal interlayer in the form of two concentric wire rings located between the translucent disk and cup, orienting the disk with the electrode towards the cup.
