FIELD: food industry, more specifically, production of strong drinks, particularly, of vodkas, and liqueurs, and also final purification of drinkable alcohol. SUBSTANCE: method includes production of process water, its mixing with alcohol, filtering on two-stage filter, passing from below through layer of biosorbent 15 mm thick and treatment with activated carbon. Biosorbent is used in form of disintegrated cells of microorganisms used in microbiological process of ethyl alcohol production. Negative surface potential of disintegrated cells amounts to 25-70 mV. EFFECT: improved quality of strong drinks due to reduction of aldehydes and fusel oil by 14%, methanol by 80% and ions of heavy metals bu 21%. 3 cl
