FIELD: plug connectors for many pairs of cable conductors in remote-communication lines. SUBSTANCE: pin- type modular connector has longitudinal base of insulating material with opposite longitudinal sides and opposite surfaces carrying conductor locking members arranged along one surface close to one of sides to form conductor ducts; longitudinal shroud of insulating material with opposite surfaces; many conducting contacts; shroud supports conducting contacts and each contact has split face section to receive conductor arranged so that it protrudes beyond first surface of shroud to be connected to conductor placed on first surface of base; each contact is provided with junction member on other end protruding beyond shroud surface and junction section made between contact leads; base has slit-type holes on its opposite side between surfaces; junction members of contacts enter these slits. EFFECT: provision for connecting and disconnecting modular connectors and their connection to other modular connectors without stripping insulation off conductor at junction point. 10 cl, 23 dwg
