FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing high-phosphorus carbonate and manganese ores and also ferromanganese production waste to produce manganese concentrate and consists in that manganese-containing solutions are first prepared, to which alkali reagent with ferromanganese production waste at ratio (0.1-1.10):1 are added to form pulp that is further stirred for 0.2-1 hr, filtered off, washed, and heat treated in two steps: first at 70-105 and then at 200-250 C. Invention enables utilization of waste thereby extending resource of difficult-to-obtain manganese- containing material, accelerates filtration of pulp, and also reduces manganese loss at manganese alloy smelting process because of removing fine fractions with effluent gases, and, finely, increases degree of manganese recovery and reduces toxic emissions. In addition, method enables sludge refuse areas and investment on installing additional filtration equipment to be reduced. EFFECT: enhanced process efficiency. 4 tbl, 4 ex
