FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for use in hydrometallurgical processing of high-phosphorus carbonate and mixed ores and also concentrates obtained in concentration of the latter. Method includes leaching manganese from disintegrated starting material with hydrochloric acid solution to which calcium chloride is added in HCl/CaCl2 proportion 1:(0.2-0.65) at 65-85 C for 3 to 7 hr. Precipitation of manganese concentrate is carried out in presence of 60 to 300 g/l of calcium chloride at stirring the pulp for 40 to 60 min within pH range 8.5- 9.9 at 60-85 C.
