FIELD: metallurgy, namely processes for making rolled bars in aggregate for combination casting and rolling provided with double-roll machine for continuous billet casting. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of feeding metal onto roll-type molds with symmetrical rectangular or semioval cross section grooves; forming billet with relation of its width to thickness equal to (1.5-5.0) proportionally to strand number at rolling and with area of cross section for each strand consisting (2-15) area values of cross section of ready rolled bar; performing rolling operation by (1-5) strands at separating billet by parts when said relation is more than 2.3. Method provides manufacture of rolled bars with energy consumption less by (25-35)% and material consumption less by (15-25)% due to approaching size of initial billet to size of ready rolled bar and using separation rolling. EFFECT: significantly lowered power and material consumption due to normalization of billet profile, its reduced size, simplified design and lowered mass of manufacturing equipment. 2 ex
