FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: when manufacturing steel bar from continuously cast stock, to reduce power and operation expenses by way of combining all operations in manufacture of steel bar and approaching dimensions of stock to those of final produce, improvement consists in continuously casting a block of bridge-interconnected blanks followed by dividing block into separate blanks, which are then heated and rolled. According to invention, metal is cast onto rotatory roll-foundry molds to yield block wherein cross-section area of each blank is 5-50 times as high as that of final stock. Casting velocity in this case is 5 to 25 m/min, blanks are heated before dividing block, whereas division process is effected during the rolling operation. All operations are carried out simultaneously. Metal is poured onto roll-foundry molds in symmetric flows having different cross-section configuration. EFFECT: reduced production cost.
