FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engine. SUBSTANCE: proposed device can be used in engine fuel system for processing part of enriched fuel-air mixture delivered into main flow by decomposing liquid fuel and turning it into gas. Methods comes to heating of over-enriched fuel mixture flow containing 10-100% of gasoline consumed by engine before mixing with second flow using heat of hot gases, subjecting fuel flow to one or multiple step thermal treatment by activators with compensation for air used in reactions. Device has heat exchanger 1, mixture component meter 2 connected by inlet branch pipe 5 with mixture circuit along which mixture gets into chamber 3 with activator 4 where hot gases are formed which pass through inlet branch pipe 6 of gas circuit and its outlet branch pipe 7 into engine intake system. Chamber 3 of activator 4 is connected by pipeline 8 and nozzles 9 to feed additional air to activator. EFFECT: increased fuel economy reduced toxicity of exhaust gases, possibility of using low grade cheap fuel. 4 cl, 1 dwg
