FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to relieving of walls in operated buildings and structures with purpose of their further reliable operation. Device is made in the form of outward thrusting member of hydraulic or mechanical type. Device is installed on supporting frame which is mounted on separate foundations. After that, drilled in floors of building are holes, and metal rods of relieving device are inserted into them. One end of rods is secured to component being relieved, and other end is secured to outward thrusting member. Cylindrical compression spring of relieving device is compressed by turning pulling nut on threaded end of metal rod up to preset design value. This operation results in accumulation in spring of kinetic compression energy which is required for relieving of load-bearing components of building. On achieving preset design force in metal rods, they take loads from load-bearing structure. Relieving device automatically detects possible alternating deformations in components of building in process of its operations and compensates for them due to operation of cylindrical compression spring. Taken load is transmitted to new foundation. Device can be used both for relieving separate components of building and for relieving of entire building. Application of aforesaid embodiment of device ensures optimal redistribution of load parameters due to reduced influence of possible changes in geometrical dimensions of building components.
