FIELD: pipe shut-off fittings. SUBSTANCE: gate valve is intended for stopping flows of working medium transported through pipeline. Gate valve has following components: body with cover, seats, actuating unit and support of actuating unit which includes posts connected to body, and supporting plate, gate connected with screw-type rod which interacts with nut. Nut is rigidly connected with actuating unit. Nut is connected with support of actuating unit and can be rotated. Made on surface of supporting plate turned towards actuating unit is protrusion in the form of cylinder. Made in external surface of protrusion is bore with creation of end-face shoulder. Nut partly in height is made in the form of half-cylinder and is provided in this part with bore in internal surface. Diameter and height of bore are not less than diameter and height of shoulder on supporting cylinder. Nut is also provided with end-face shoulder turned towards nut axis. Diameter of shoulder and its height are not larger than diameter and height of bore on supporting cylinder. At least one seat is made in the form of bush which is located in body at external side, and it can be moved to press towards gate of at least one elastically deformable ring. Aforesaid embodiment of gate valve improves its technological, design and operating characteristics. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 6 cl, 4 dwg
