FIELD: pipeline fittings. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in different industries for closing pipelines along which media are transported. Proposed gate valve has hollow housing with axially located connecting branch pipes and internal bores. Bores accommodate spring-loaded seats with through holes provided with seals. Through holes of seats coincide with holes of connecting branch pipes. Flat gate is installed in housing between seats. Gate is installed for turning around central axle being provided with through hole and solid section for closing through holes of seats. Gate turning drive is mechanically coupled with peripheral part of gate. Housing is made in form of solid casting with oval port found at side of gate turning drive. Edge of oval port is made with inner seat surface. Ports closed by detachable cover with mating seat surface. The latter is pressed by crossmember to inner seat surface of housing. Middle part of crossmember is coupled with cover by means of screw. Ends of crossmember thrust against housing from outside. EFFECT: improved mass and dimensional characteristics of gate valve designed for use at high internal pressure. 5 cl, 5 dwg
