FIELD: shut-off pipe fittings. SUBSTANCE: gate valve is intended for stopping of flows of working medium transported through pipeline. Gate valve has body with seats, also gate and sealing gland interacting with seats and connected with spindle. At least one of seats is made in the form of bush and configured as single-side wedge. This wedge interacts with valve body through its inclined surface. Gate valve is provided with device for bringing motion to bush in direction towards wedge. Aforesaid embodiment of gate valve enhances its hermetic tightness during its operation in severe conditions. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 cl, 6 dwg
