FIELD: sports equipment. SUBSTANCE: proposed arbalest has frame which front part carries bow whose width and thickness of arms reduces towards ends of arms which carry bow-string. Lever cocking mechanism is hinged to trigger mechanism, side surface of its stopper has flange located under rounded surface of hook of trigger. Frame of trigger mechanism has protrusion positioned under spring-loaded fork. Separable gear including regulators and auxiliary bow-string is used to prepare arbalest for action. Each regulator is made in the form of clamps with through hole in one of them and threaded hole in the other one and screw with head in the form of cylinder having rifled side surface. There is protrusion in the form of hook on surface of one of clamps. After fixing clamps on end sections of arms of bow finishes of auxiliary bow-string are placed on hooks and bow-string is tightened with the aid of trigger mechanism. Then key bow-string is arranged on ends of bow and auxiliary bow-string and clamps of regulators are removed after movement of trigger mechanism to front part of arbalest.
