DEVICE TO PUNCTURE CAVITIES Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, neurosurgery, traumatology and child surgery. SUBSTANCE: device is intended for puncture of bone and for insertion of conductor into cavity of organism, specifically, for draining of vetricles of brain of children sick with hydrocephaly. Device can also be used in military surgery and veterinary medicine. It includes tube with cannula, fixing arm and mandrel with handle. Handle has groove to accommodate fixing arm and limiter put on thread. Device incorporates linking member with through duct for tube and socket for cut cannula with depth equal to length of cannula and has thread for limiter. Mandrel has toothed working tip to drill bone and through longitudinal duct for drilled bone tissue. Tube clearance and hole of cut cannula are used for insertion of hollow needle intended for insertion of elastic conductor of drain tube. EFFECT: prolonged service life of device and diminished possibility of after-effect by prevention of instillation of fragments of broken bone tissue into drained cavity of organism. 7 dwg
