METHOD FOR RECORDING PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF DENTOMAXILLARY SYSTEM Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2141788 C1

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves exiting mechanical oscillations in single or several points of dentomaxillary system. The oscillations are received, amplified, analyzed and represented in other points of dentomaxillary system. The mechanical oscillations are excited by delivering metered blow in middle part of the maxilla or mandible. The mechanical oscillations are received at the anterior wall of the external acoustic meatus by means of bright bandwidth seismic receivers inserted into the right and left ear. Signals received with the right and left seismic receivers are compared. Their equality being observed, preliminary conclusions are made that no pathology is the case. Then the received values are compared to some reference values. Relations of difference, asymmetry and similarity values are used for making conclusions concerning pathology occurred in the right or left half of a jaw. Time passed from the moment the blow was delivered to the moment reflex response signal to irritation has been received, is measured in addition and compared to some reference value. Time difference and signal difference, asymmetry and similarity characteristics are interpreted for making conclusions concerning pathology occurred in parodont and/or in the neuromuscular regulation channels of dentomaxillary system. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of diagnosis. 2 cl
