FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and aims at differential diagnostics of pain dysfunction syndrome of temporo-mandibular joint (PDS TMJ). An integrated application of interference and needle electromyography is followed with determining the stages of denervation-reinnervation process. Evaluation of blink reflex and exteroceptive suppression parametres is combined with determining the asymmetry coefficient, amplitude and duration of motor unit potentials, and duration of the second period of exteroceptive suppression. If the latter exceeds 25.9 ms with the other indicators being observed within: "Кас" 0.126 to 0.5 ms, amplitude of motor unit potentials 258.5 to 771.0 mcV, duration of motor unit potentials 6.0 to 8.9 ms, duration of the late component of blink reflex 39.7 to 59.9 ms, pain dysfunction syndrome of TMJ is diagnosed.
EFFECT: invention allows improving effectiveness and specificity of PDS TMJ diagnostics.
