FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used for diagnosing pain dysfunction syndrome of temporomandibular joint. Electroneuromyographic indices are recorded simultaneously with masticatory and temporal muscles from both sides. Sample with cotton swabs is used, which are arranged along border between second and first pre-molars symmetrically on both sides. Values of indices of symmetry of the masseter (ISMM) and temporal muscles (ISTM), index of static stabilizing occlusion (ISSO), index of lateral displacement of lower jaw (LDLJ) are determined. If ISMM is 120 % more or 80 % less than ISTM and LDLJ 117 % more or 83 % less than ISSO is 15.2 % more, than pain dysfunction syndrome of temporomandibular joint is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method enables accurate, simple, non-invasive and safe for patient diagnosing of pain dysfunction syndrome of temporomandibular joint, assessing effectiveness of conducted therapy provided by recording electroneuromyographic indices simultaneously from masseter and temporal muscles from both sides and their index evaluation.
