SUBSTANCE: installed in body of device having internal tapered surface are sleeve and inserts for each spider which is spring-loaded by means of slips and inserts. It is suspended by holders on guide members. Made in internal tapered surface of body are protrusions which enter slots made in side surfaces of inserts. Bush for inserts is made with T-shape slots, and holders are provided with side limiters and fixing turnable stops. Inserts are located between bow-shaped springs under central part of slips. Incline of internal tapered surface of body is larger than incline of flat supporting surfaces of spiders. Device ensures uniform application of spiders to pipe, prolongs service life, prevents jamming. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 10 dwg
