FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves producing biological material smears, placing them in examination zone and carrying out visual examination. The biological material smears are produced by placing them on flexible transparent ribbon. Each smear begin is positioned mainly with equal step. The ribbon is wound on the feeding reel and placed into a device for delivering smears to the examination zone. The device has movable casing, means for arranging a set of smears and means transporting them. The latter is manufactured as receiving and feeding cartridges mounted to enable sets of smears placed on a ribbon to be rotatable and movable through a cell.
