FIELD: polymer materials. SUBSTANCE: invention provides cross- linked acrylic copolymer containing reduced number of silane functionalized monomer units showing unexpectedly high adhesive, cohesive, and plastic characteristics when used in sealing compositions in comparison with known silane-functionalized acrylic copolymers. In particular, reduction in amount of silane-functionalized vinyl monomer and amount of mercaptosilane chain-transfer agent to less than 1 mole per 100 mole of methacrylate monomer was found to give copolymer suitable as sealing composition having considerably improved elastic properties important for high-mobile sealers and also improved adhesion to metal and glass surfaces with other important properties of sealers preserved. Copolymer represents product of free-radical copolymerization of compounds described in claim 1. Copolymers are fit to prepare one- component moisture-hardenable sealing compositions which are stable on storage and, at the same time, harden rapidly when affected by environmental moisture practically at room temperature to form hardened sealer exhibiting high strength, elastic restoration, resistance to environmental conditions, and adhesion to various materials.
