FIELD: mechanical engineering; liquid handling. SUBSTANCE: proposed turbine is designed for use as rotor of pump handling liquid media. Turbine has hollow shaft and impeller. Entry chamfer, operating ground surface and surface free from any internal loads are made in inner space of shaft. Ring groove with opposite flats is made on outer surface of shaft. Impeller is made of polymeric material with stiffening ribs and curvilinear blades. Impeller is installed in ring groove of shaft, their end faces from blade side coincide, and tops of ribs from nonoperating side coincide with outlet from ring groove. Blades are made to 2-power curves. EFFECT: reduced mass, increased cyclic stability of hollow stepped shaft. 1 dwg
