FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves adjusting individual spoon and producing functional imprint by means of silicon mass. Optimum boundaries and edge shape of the individual spoon are determined based on displacement of the most thin portion of melted wax of 3-4 mm in width that is glued tightly to the edge, beginning from the place the former second molars took on glossal side to a place of the same name on vestibular side. The spoon is fixed with fingers for preventing from its shifting and functional full scale tests are carried out. Uncovered segments of the spoon edges are filed out in distal regions. Wax is glued once more to spoon edge and the process is repeated until distinct outline of wax boundary is obtained in the retromolar area with marked sticking effect. EFFECT: optimum boundary of mandibular prosthesis base. 1 dwg
