METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING LIQUID-CONTAINING FORMATION IN FEMALE SMALL PELVIS Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves performing puncture biopsy of liquid- containing formations in the small pelvis under echography control and determining estrogen level at the selected point, tumor marker is additionally measured. Low estrogen contents being observed, patient groups are built depending on tumor marker contents: from units order to 10000 Units/ml, from 10000 to 50000 Units/ml and above 50000 Units/ml. Conservative therapy is applied to patients belonging to low value of the tumor marker contents below 10000 Units/ml. Dynamic observation is carried out on the patient group having from 10000 to 50000 Units/ml, making repeated biopsy punctures of liquid-containing formations in the small pelvis. The patients having the level above 50000 Units/ml are sent for applying surgical treatment. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of diagnosis.
