FIELD: methods of production of spiral bristles by extruding of filaments. SUBSTANCE: filament is extruded with cross-section other than round, preliminarily drawn from extruder to reduce its cross-section, subjected to further drawing, twisted at least part of its length into spiral material of bristle, and then stabilized by means of shrinkage. Filament may be extruded with oval or polygonal cross-section, or with shape off rod having at least one rib running parallel to rod axis. According to the other version of method at least two filaments in drawing from extruder are subjected to preliminarily drawing with reduction of their cross-section and then, to further drawing. After that, they are twisted with each other into spiral material of bristle and stabilized by thermal shrinkage. EFFECT: economically efficient production of spiral bristles with preset quality similar to that of usually used bristles. 15 cl
