FIELD: articles of individual hygienic care. SUBSTANCE: toothbrush has handle and head made in the form of elongated casing open at one side thereof. Replaceable cleaning unit inserted into casing has base with attached bristles. Extension arm fixed to reverse side of base is inserted into window in casing back part. Base with extension arm is made of rubber-like resilient material providing rubber-like sealing relative to casing and rubber-like sealing with its extension arm relative to said window. Cleaning unit may be removed by pressing upon extension arm due to rubber-like deformation of base. Bristles are fixed on base by welding or by injection forming to provide for required resiliency in the region proximate head, said region having reduced thickness.
