FIELD: petrochemistry and medicine. SUBSTANCE: method comprises alcoholysis of 1-chloroadamantane by means of alcohols at elevated temperature using palladium complexes such as Pd(PPh3)4, Pd(PPh3)2Cl2 as catalysts at 120-160 C for 1-5 hours at molar ratios of (AdCl) (Pd) : (ROH)=1: (1.005-0.01):(1.5-5). Conversion of 1-chloroadamantane is about 100%. EFFECT: lower consumption of catalyst and simplified process technology. 24, ex, 1 tbl
