FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of di-1-adamantyl ester that is used as effective addition enhancing oxidative stability of high-molecular compounds. Di-1-adamantyl ester is synthesized by alcoholysis of 1-chloroadamantane using 1-hydroxyadamantane and under effect of catalysts, for example, Pd(PPh3)4 and Pd(PPh3)2CI2 at 160-190 C, for 3-8 h, at mole ratio [AdCl] : [AdOH] : [Pd] = 1 : 1 : (0.005-0.01).
